Hi everyone !!
I'm David and live here in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana and I just ordered my laptop, Solus Grower with a few extras as well a battery back up. Haven't ordered the B9 Emerald Green but will today. Was nice to meet Emil on the phone too. I'm hoping to be a good contributor to this forum and will have a lot of learning to do before I speak out and put in my two cents worth :D

I currently have two Roland JWX-10 mills and run them both often. After I get the grower I'll sell one of them....keep me in mind if anyone knows someone that would be interested :) as I'll be very busy with my new Solus.

One more thing, we were at the Atlanta Jewelry Show this past weekend and saw other fancy growers and as soon as I mentioned "Solus" I got looks of " what's that?" Boy, am I gonna have fun

Thank you for having me as a new member....David

Jeffrey Everett, bench jeweler since 1971, Rhino user since 1999. Before that, from 1992 onward I used CadKey, Xcad, Xcam, FastSurf, CorelDraw, Visual Mill and several others whose names I forget. I got my first mill, a Roland CAMM PNC 3000, in 1992 and used it for 10 years at which time it became unfixable so I bought the Roland MDX-40 and in 2005 upgraded it to a 5 axis mill using Protowizard 5 axis. Now I use Matrix and ProtoWizard 5 axis at home and at work I do 3D design work exclusively, and operate their Solus and Revo 4 axis mill. As far as other software I licensed to me are Modo, Lightwave, Blender and Zbrush which I am totally going to become fluent in someday! Actually I'm in the process of learning Zbrush this weekend, and of course many weekends before this one and many after...

Hello everyone,
this is Andreas. Workshop owner, manufacturer, wholesaler. I want to introduce myself because as i understand Emil won't reply to your posts unless you prove that you are a Solus owner  Just kidding!
I bought my Solus in December and overall very happy with it given the price. Still struggling a little though with calibration issues and film tension in an effort to achieve super smooth prints.
Anyway this is my setup and 2 of the last jobs i did with the Solus.

Pat Tarzwell. Just got my printer and projector, I have not gotten my material and no instructions yet, so I am not even to square one yet. I am looking forward to the possibilities this may bring.

Welcome Pat. The link to the instructions should have been in the shipment confirmation email. Did you receive that?
