Solus Wax Resin
That's kinda what I was thinking. About 6 months ago we replaced the lamp but (unknowingly) bought one of those chinese knockoffs on amazon for $90. Big fail. It'll print the simple stuff...emerald, PIC, etc. Looks like SolusWax needs some high quality milliwattage. lol

Re: Solus Wax Resin
It has lots of uv blockers in it for that high detail that we need. So yes, it needs more power.

Re: Solus Wax Resin
How can I check the bulb hours on my Optoma?
I really had to crank up the times in my exposure Editor to get SolusWax to print.
20um 48x27 all=5 bottom=38
Is that the only changes needed to make "all and bottom"?

You will need to point the projector at the wall, just like when you first set it up, and go into the projector menu. The lamp hours are shown under STATUS.

Re: Solus Wax Resin
This resin sucks! I want my money back! lol Joking of course. First print went smooth without any troubles and our test cast of the sample we got went great so I don't expect any issues moving forward. The pictures you are seeing here was after the attempt to cure it. (Promise it looked a million times better right off the machine!) We have a heavy duty curing unit we got when we purchased an envisiontec machine several years ago. Crazy thing is the part was only in there for about 4 minutes. Needless to say this will be the first and last time we attempt to cure this resin in that unit.

No uv curing needed.

Re: Solus Wax Resin
I could not wait for a new solus wax. And this is my result with a standard burning process. I have never had such a bad result. I do not know what to think about, but disappointment. I made a test burning solus wax and there were pieces that could not be burned.

Re: Solus Wax Resin
Look at the wax sprue on your ring. Enough said.
So it's not a resin burnout issue. It's a casting issue.

Re: Solus Wax Resin
Unfortunately, because you tried to post-process cure the resin and it wasn't designed to be UV cured after the print, the properties of the resin have been altered. The condition of the resin cracked and not in good shape as well as the property change of the resin due to UV post curing results in a bad cast if was used.
In basic terms, garbage in, garbage out. That is why it is casting issue and not an issue in the resin.
If you redo the print and don't uv cure it, you should get different results.
