No. It seems to be hard plastic, similar to B9's Red resin if you're familiar with it.

Roger,

Once people get something that works well for them, most of the time they have very little interest (or time) to take photos, come into the forum, post and share with others. A few people do that but the biggest majority won't. They only post when there are issues and problems.

I suggest getting some samples, or ordering a sample bottle to test for yourself. The EasyCastHD is a very reliable resin and casts amazingly well.

Good day everyone,

First i would like to say I'm loving this new resin it prints super easily with little to no failures. I am however getting a bit of troubles with the casting of the resin. I use a local casting house and they are vey god but think I'm the first to use this resin. Can any one tell me if they have seen this before? If so what solution did you come up with?

Many thanks

Steve O

The text it sharp, the surface is smooth. But something might be wrong with the investment, or they don't let it sit long enough? Can't say what's happening, I'm not a caster, but I'm pretty sure this is not resin related.

They seam to think it's because the resin is too thick.

I've only cast with it once so far in sterling as a test, but the pieces came out way better than what I got from the MJ Waxcast. Used Kerr Satin Cast 20 and did the quick ramp up in the kiln with button side up after an hour at 300 to melt out the sprue wax with the button side down. Still trying to get the hang of one woman casting with my equipment configuration without overheating my metal.

Been using the Waxcast to prototype until my models are perfect and am now ready to print final pieces in Easycast, but am running into some strange behavior a few layers into the print tonight. There is an audible sound of the print being yanked off the film when the build plate rises. I'm not sure what in the settings I could adjust to alleviate this. Could I lower the light intensity or should I try exposure time?

That's normal for burn-in layers (bottom few layers) to make that sound. Nothing to worry about.

just a guess, based on what Iv seen , that looks to me as too high a temp. in the burnout cycle or too long a time at the high temp , Also the only other thing I think it could be is that your guy is using boric acid water and that sometimes happens when you use that , however castings usually come out cleaner with the borci water , that's a heavy ring and he probably held it at the high temp longer because of the amount of resin that ring has , I would say overall its a good casting for a ring of that weight , most important thing is what Emil said , the lettering is good , except for only one spot , most of the time its way worse than that , if your not happy , try casting it again , maybe it will come out better , but I tell you , that's not that bad of a job for what that is , expect to do some metal work on this ring even if you recast
