B9 Emerald Castable Resin Testing
Posted: Fri Jan 15, 2016 12:02 am
I'm currently testing the emerald resin from b9. It seems to be working very nicely and is a bit faster than the cherry and the yellow. The cherry still shows detail much better because of the amount of pigment. The green is still a little translucent, but not as bad as the yellow.
Will release a print profile for CW once I'm finished with the testing. Also will post some pics.
Findings so far:
1. No major sticking to the film unlike the yellow.
2. It offers very high resolution, which is great. Very sharp corners.
3. Very good surface quality.
4. Takes more time to post-cure. After a day in the sun, the prints were still a little tacky to the touch. Putting them under the UV for 1-2 hours seems to help with that.
5. Much easier to see the details than with yellow.
