EPIC test run

Postby hx19035 » Tue Apr 05, 2016 8:21 pm

This is the first model I've grown to completion on my printer. The problem is my boss didnt order any "Solus ready" materials so I'm stuck testing with PIC100 and EPIC. It's fun, but exasperating. I had to create my own resin profile which is indicated in one of the screen shots.

Can anybody figure out what the big swollen rings every 5mm are??

Thanks.

It looks like you had some layers stick to the film and then eventually picked those layers up. Maybe?

Perhaps. I did another test run last night and the parts look the same. Every 5mm or so there's a big hernia all around the part.

Trying a different PC right now. My company's IT likes to install all kinds of bloatware which was probably trying to do something in the background while the Solus is building.

We've seen something similar to this before and it was caused by electrical interference of some kind from a heater placed under the projector/printer.

Did you ever figure out the cause of this issue?

I have tried their new EPIC M without any success . I prefer the emerald by far, also I don't see any point trying . Man it is $450 for just half liter bottle.
