It's a personal thing. To me the Microwave gets the job done faster. 20 min verses 2 to 4 hours. However I just purchased the B9 curing oven.

Bought one of the those nail polish uv lights. Seems to do the job, but kind of a pain to press the button every 60 seconds. Will re-wire that sucker when I have the time.
Few time I soaked in hot water, but didn't place in microwave. The castings came out really nice.
