proto resin question

im having trouble painting some resins, the spray paint or varnish doesnt seem to want to cure on the resin...what problems like this should i expect with the proto resin? ugg i still hate the color, lol but i might end up buying it.

It must be fully cured and clean of any uncured resin residue.
