Testing out a new resin - What's causing this?

Can anybody tell what would cause these weird anomalies while printing this stuff? It looks as if some parts of the ring are extruding down. I printed these on an angle but they came out PERFECT in Emerald green.

I also dont have any specs on testing this resin. It was given to me to help R&D. I'm just wondering if this is a problem with the software, film, PC, resin temperature, etc.

Looks like Z bleed. You can try reducing the exposure time but my guess is that resin doesn't have enough pigment/dye for Solus.

Ah, Z bleed. Makes sense. I'm doing a another test with 1 second as the exposure time to see what happens. Parts are still forming so I know it's not undercuring to the point of not printing.

About a month ago I tried some resin from G3D which comes from Europe. They have a yellow castable and an orange castable. The yellow is named C001 which performed flawlessly. The orange, named C600 failed miserably. The exposure time per layer is recommended at .6 seconds!! But the light bleed around the mask would start to cure the resin in the vat around the parts causing a gooey mess.

The C001 is a little better than B9 Emerald. However I think it's twice the price of Emerald which effectively edges this resin out when you take into consideration how long it takes to ship to the US.

We love using the cherry resin here . the prints are way sharper than the Emerald. just shake it well before use.

If it is z bleed and you are already using very low exposures, you have to attenuate the light by putting the filter back in (if it is out right now) or using something like a neutral density filter to help reduce the near-UV output from the projector.

This will obviously extend out the exposure time and in turn make the print take longer.
