How large is that part? You can't print it directly on the build plate without supports?

If you're gonna support it at such an extreme angle, you will need a lot more supports that you have there. And not giant supports either.

You can see the warping occurs right between the supported areas. Make the supports a little thinner and put supports in between the supported areas.

Also for large heavy items, I suggest hollowing the models out and putting an exit hole on the bottom. Save on resin and get better prints.

you cant tell in the photo, but it is hollow, the entire back is hollow....do you have any examples of the type of support that you are talking about? Im having a hard time understanding what you mean. thanks

btw, the part is just under 1.5 inches square..i need to print the exact same thing at 2 inches when I get the support issue resolved.

I was just reading the forum and I saw that some warping is a film issue, your fairly confident that my issue is support related and not film?

Email me the model at info@junction3d.com

Yes, I'm confident it's support related.

Emil, thanks for the help.

After your suggestions, this is how I tried my second attempt and they look good to me..this is my first time printing with the solus proto resin as I just received it the other day and these are honestly, the best prints I have made on my solus so far.

I have only tinkered with my solus since I have gotten it a year ago and tinkered with makerjuice resin only.

inconsistent results with that crap resin and very little time to experiment, had me just milling most of the jobs I needed the past year, despite having a solus that could have done it better and faster and easier.

After seeing how easy the machine is with solus proto resin, im kicking myself for not buying it sooner.

The quality and ease of use are like night and day and I now see that I will be using my solus a lot!!!! from now on.

Thanks again Emil!!! and im attaching photos so the forum can see the improvement after using your suggestions....id love if the forum could look at these photos and maybe suggest anything else I could have maybe done to improve results?

im printing at 42...as I believe the resolution is good enough for the majority of the work I do as well as needing the extra build volume.

Please take a look and let me know if there is anything else I should be doing to get better and more consistent results....I am very happy with these prints!!!

these are hollow in the back and the plan is to cast them in pewter using a high heat silicone mold...first time trying this so id love to hear suggestions regarding this as well.

I can get a lot of jobs like this and I would rather not have to cast these in house if it can be avoided as I am not really equipped for stuff like this.

I need to make about 20 of each of these in pewter or another easily castable white metal as well as the same amount of a couple of other shapes.

like I said, Id rather not have to do these myself so if anyone seeing this is equipped to make small production runs of stuff like this , like 10-50 pieces of small pewter elements with fine detail, ( maybe has a spin casting setup), id love to know because id like to hire you to make these type of jobs for me in the future.
