The new SolusCast resin is on its way to me.

Will there a a new resin profile updated to Contour, or will we enter it manually?

Does the info come with the resin?

Thank you,
Michael

I've received the SolusCast and I'm curious how much I should compensate for shrinkage if any? With the Emerald I was using 3-3.5%.
Thanks!

You should do a test print and see. We haven't notices excessive shrinkage. However all acrylic resins shrink a little during printing and curing.

We have used the curing unit we sell for all testing (http://www.junction3d.com/buy/led-light-cure-box), however any 405nm led lights will work as long as they are strong enough (30-50w). Weaker light will need longer cure times obviously.

Curing in water works well also, but it's recommended to cure for 30 min first without water then in water, to avoid the white residue from ipa reacting with water.

Heat curing (or annealing) works well also in combination with UV curing. Also microwaving in water, which is similar to heat curing.

I have just looked at the LED light cure box on your website and noticed that it looks identical to the B9 Model Cure that I currently have. My unit will only operate for a maximum of 9:50 mins per cycle and I note that you recommend curing for 1-2 hours. Does your unit have the facility to run for 1-2 hours at a time instead on only 9:50 min?

Ours has no such limits. Can cure for hours. Can set your own presets by setting the time and holding down one of the preset buttons.

That is much better. B9 say that a ring with cure in 2-3 mins but with only this time it is impossible to cast correctly. I'm not sure why they have limited but I am going to see if I can get my local electronics guy to either override it or fit an alternative timer.
Thanks for the info, I should have bought yours in the first place!!

What was the curing procedure for the heavy lion head pendant with the crown shown in the promotional videos for SolusCast?
