degassing resin?

Postby manakawari » Fri Jul 21, 2017 12:57 pm

I thought I posted this question yesterday but I don't see it anymore, maybe it didn't go through or my post was moved?

im having issues with imperfections in many of my prints.

I assume they are caused at least in part, by bubbles and im wondering if degassing the resin before adding it to the
vat, would in some way increase the surface quality of my prints.

Anyone doing this or has considered it?

I know when I cast resin, the results are far more superior when the resin is degassed and its not just the big obvious bubbles but the microscopic bubbles that when removed, allow for a much smoother and shiner casting.

it has me wondering if degassing solus proto would increase the model quality significantly .
