I thought that was done in the begging of this thred ?
Re: Casting SolusCast
That ring only needed one 3/16" sprue on the bottom. By putting the sprues the way you did creates lots of turbulence. Try it next time with one sprue and attach it to the base at about 33 degrees. All my Emerald castings come out flawless. I am still working on trying to get the solus cast to cast the same. I am close to getting great results with the SC but not quite there yet.

Put some cured rein parts on top of the flask during burnout, you can easily see how much ash remains after burnout.
I did this test with cherry emerald and soluscast, soluscast had a small amount of ash similar to emerald, cherry leaves the most ash.
I do a light vacuum of the flash with a shop vac after burnout. The flask goes back in the oven for one hour to get it back to casting temp.

Re: Casting SolusCast
I don't think that's an accurate burnout test. We have done a ton of those and most resins burnout well. Lots of air around. It's a different story when you burn the resins inside a cramped space inside the hardened investment. That's why oxygen flow matters and high temps matter.
