SolusProto vs SolusArt for Functional Accessories

Postby robin » Sun Jun 09, 2019 11:03 pm

Hi,

I'd like to print some functional accessories for my fountain pens and other frequently used items and was wondering which resin would be best for such tasks.

1- Which shrinks less?
2- Which is more brittle?
3- Is it possible to make a mold of the SolusArt if used for jewelry prototyping as well?

Thanks,
Rob

SolusProto for functional or geometric prints. It harder and has more flex, therefore not brittle. It’s also more dense.

SolusArt for figurines, and highly detailed prints. It’s matte and sharper. It’s lighter, and slightly more brittle.

Both can be molded.

Hey Emil,

They both sound they could work for me but any idea which shrinks less? I don't want to deal with scaling the prints if possible.

Thanks,
Rob
