I am still here as well, using it to do prints with Resinworks3D EasyCast Series 200 green wax resin.
It seems the 3D printer competition is catching up at a lower price point. It is good to see the rest of the market elevate in quality as the pricing comes down.

Re: Print/waves marks
For simple prints, you can cure them per the resin directions, then use fine sandpaper to smooth out the layer lines. Other options: ⋅ using a smaller Z-layer step size < 0.30 per your response ⋅ try to tilt the object to change Z-layer profile as it prints to see if you can mini...

Re: Print/waves marks
The standard questions: - What machine are you using? - What resin are you using? - What settings are you using on the machine for that resin? - Are you printing for casting or modeling? Have you tried changing the orientation of the print to minimize the layer lines? Orientation plays a big part in...

Re: Background exposure problem
First question: Have you ever had success with this printer and resin before? If so, then something has changed, either in your resin (chemical concentrations are messed up) or in your configuration (lost proper config, etc...) If you have never had success, then you need to adjust the projector par...

Re: Introducing the SolusProto Resin!
Is SolusProto still available? I see on Monger's site that it is no longer for sale and SolusArt Grey is available - can that run on the original Solus? I haven't checked for a Contour profile yet.

Re: Replacement parts for the standard Solus?
Hi Mark - long time no see! I'd vote (if it counted) that you keep the old Solus on the website for historical purposes. It was the first commercial printer you put out and they are still out in the wild and in use. I would just put a "DISCONTINUED" notice/button/graphic on the page or som...

Does it happen when windowed versus full screen? (assuming you can even run it windowed)

Replacement parts for the standard Solus?
Just wondering if there are still replacement parts for the original Solus, like film, aluminum vats, etc. A quick check of Junction 3D showed only Solus Pro parts in the shop.
Or is the real secret that we can use the Pro parts on the original Solus?

Re: First Time Casting
I ended up reading almost every single thread in this casting forum and read that I should be burning out the flasks button up.... I had previously burned them out button down (woops) One thing I am unsure about is if you start them button down to let the wax sprues melt out (for the 150c soak) the...
