Removing resin under the quartz edge

Not sure if anyone is here nowadays but asking anyway. I had a film fail and a small amount of resin made its way down the edge of the quartz. Two questions:

1 - will this affect the tilt working?
2 - is it possible for me to remove the quartz and clean that out?

BTW...into my 6th year with the original Solus and still amazing. Thanks Mark.
